Pumpkin Spice Mix Recipe Vegan Gluten Free Dairy Free

Is it just me or does every recipe posted at this time of year require Pumpkin Spice Mix?! I spent ages hunting it down in the supermarket, and then realised how much easier and cheaper it is to make your own!

It’s so much more simple than I thought, and you’ll probably already have most of the ingredients in your pantry. Feel free to adjust the amounts of each spice to your own taste preferences, for example adding a little more cinnamon or extra ginger!

This Pumpkin Spice Mix works beautifully in all the autumnal treats I’ve been experimenting with lately and sharing on @elibrechernutrition – try adding it to these Chocolate Sweet Potato Cups or this Pumpkin Pie Porridge. I can’t wait to share more pumpkin-spiced recipes with you very soon!

Homemade Pumpkin Spice Mix


Makes 1 small jar

  • 3 tablespoons cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoon ground ginger
  • 1 tablespoon ground nutmeg
  • 1 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1/2 teaspoon cardamom (optional)


Simply mix all ingredients together well, transfer to a small jar, put the lid on and give it a good shake!
