Last year I was lucky enough to have Liz – author of www.breakfastin.com.au and creator of the @breakfastinperth, @breakfastinmelbourne and @breakfastinsydney Instagram pages – sharing her Top 4 Breakfast Spots In Melbourne, after featuring my post Breakfast In Madrid on her website! Today I’m excited to welcome another guest post from Liz. Just like me, her Instagram and blog focus heavily on breakfast and brunch, but this time she is sharing her recommendations for the second most important meal of the day in her hometown of Melbourne, Australia. Over to Liz…
Although breakfast is the main game, Melbourne is packed full of loads of amazing dinner spots. These are my three faves at the moment…
- Cucinetta – South Yarra
This restaurant is a super cute hidden gem, nestled away on a corner on one of the quieter, residential streets of South Yarra. They serve up epic Italian food, with a menu that changes weekly depending on what produce is available. The other day we enjoyed basil panna cotta (I know, weird – but SO good!) and I’m still dreaming about it.
It’s pretty small, so make sure you get there early.
2. St Cloud Eating House – Hawthorn
Ahhh I love this place. Grab a spot upstairs and enjoy the zen-ness of your leafy surroundings as you dine on delicious modern Vietnamese cuisine.
They do amazing cocktails too – order one (or two!) to enjoy with your dumplings.
3. Ms Elwood – Elwood
Yup, I’m definitely loving Asian food at the moment. I’m not sure exactly which nation Ms Elwood aligns itself with specifically, it’s kind of a mix of a few different styles of Asian cuisine.
These guys are always up to something quirky, whether it be $1 dumplings on Wednesdays or unlimited-sushi-Sundays, which adds a bit of fun to the whole experience. Oh and they have a swing chair, which immediately elevates them to be part of any list I write. #swingsrule
