Banana & Tahini Date Bark

Banana and tahini are a match made in heaven. This delicious twist on the viral date bark recipe combines gooey medjool dates with sweet banana, earthy tahini and silky smooth dark chocolate.

This Banana & Tahini Date Bark recipe uses just 4 simple ingredients, all of which I ALWAYS have in my pantry – so I’ve been making it on repeat lately and I can’t wait for you to give it a try!

When it comes to storing it: Pop it in an airtight container in the fridge, and it will stay fresh for about a week! Or freeze it for up to three months. Just remember, if it’s been in the freezer, give it a few minutes to soften up before you dig in.

Banana & Tahini Date Bark Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 8 medjool dates
  • 1 ripe banana
  • 3 tbsp runny tahini
  • 50g dark chocolate, melted

 

Method:

  1.  Line a loaf tin or small baking pan with parchment paper. Split dates open, remove the stone and press each date down onto the sheet, keeping them as close together as possible.
  2.  In a small bowl, mash the banana with a fork, then mix in the tahini. Pour over the dates and use a spoon to spread it out evenly over the dates.
  3.  Pour over the melted chocolate, spread it out so it’s covered, and place in the freezer for 10 mins to set before cutting into squares.
  4.  Serve and enjoy. Keep in the fridge for up to 3 days.
