Carrot Cake Porridge Recipe

Serves 1


  • 1/3 cup rolled oats
  • 1 medium carrot, grated
  • 2 tsp ground flaxseed
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 1 tbsp vanilla protein powder
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup milk of choice
  • 1/2 cup water


  • Small handful of walnuts
  • 1/4 cup blueberries
  • 1 tbsp nut butter of choice
  • Sprinkle of cinnamon


  1. Add the oats, grated carrot, flaxseed, cinnamon and nutmeg to a saucepan. Pour over the milk, water and vanilla extract and stir well.
  2. Cook on a medium heat for 5 minutes, stirring frequently, then stir in the protein powder and reduce the heat to a simmer for a further 3-5 minutes, or until your desired consistency is reached. Add an extra splash or milk/water to loosen the porridge, if needed.
  3. Transfer to a bowl, add your toppings and enjoy!
